VOLUNTEER FAQS

Can my community or business group volunteer together?

YES! We welcome the participation of business/organization volunteer teams who are registered with and recognized by the Festival as such. Groups who recruit a minimum of 8 volunteers will be allowed to wear branded items. These groups will also be recognized in our "Special Thanks" day of announcements. For groups wishing to have a table to promote themselves, please visit our partnership opportunities.

What do I wear as a volunteer?

Volunteers will be given a black apron that must be worn during their working hours of the festival. When not on shift, aprons must be returned to the Volunteer Coordinator - please don't partake of the festival while wearing an apron. Comfortable, closed toe shoes are strongly encouraged.

Can I bring my underage child to volunteer with me?

No. All attendees of the Festival be they volunteers, guests, vendors, or otherwise must be 21 years +. No exceptions.

What if I filled out a form but haven't received an assignment?

Volunteers are not scheduled to volunteer until the Volunteer Coordinator confirms their shift and responsibilities. With over 100 individuals day-of that's a lot to coordinate, so please be patient. If you have a question or concern, send us an email.

What should I do if signed up to volunteer but my availability has changed?

If for any reason you cannot keep your commitment or need to change your shift time, you are expected to let our Volunteer Coordinator know with as much time a possible, ideally no less than one week prior to the event.

I can't find the answer to my question here, can someone help me?

YES! We're happy to answer any questions you may have about the Festival. Please contact Stacy LaMotta via email at stacy@sodelfest.com or 302-245-4262.
